All Roads Lead to the Lake District (part II)
May 20, 2008The people
The National trust warden and his handsome dog, the third generation to accompany him in his work
The mountain biker, I told him he was looking rather photogenic, ‘Yes’ he replied you can call the shot, ‘Mountain Biker Lost’ so I did.
The farmer feeding his lambs, the black one being a bit of a maverick
The schoolkids setting out on an adventure, that was going to be wet.
The farmer, dog, sheep and lambs, heading for the fells, I think I’ve photographed him before
And last but least, Joe, doing a little archery in rather a splendid location
Joe got a little impatient waiting his turn, he claims he said he was ‘bored,’ the instructor insisted that Joe said that ‘archery was boring’ and so punished him because it isn’t!
It did wash off, in the end.

I’ve been reading your recent posts, but haven’t had a chance to comment - your photos, as always, look brilliant! It looks like you had an amazing time
Love the maverick lamb picture… just so good - I wish my scenery round here was half as good as yours up there
Your photos are so great. They make me want to be back in England. I so love coming here. Thank you.

What active lives you all lead! I feel very envious.
Hope we don’t make you too homesick JJ, the internet must be a mixed blessing, easy to see ’stuff’ from the homeland and keep in touch with family and friends, but does it make it harder to ’settle in’ to a different culture?
::whimper:: Your photos do me in! I’m getting home-sick-or-whatever (never lived there, but you get what I mean). Do they need science teachers there?

Andrea, all schools need Science teachers like you!!!
Disabilty awareness in education isn’t what it might be here in the UK
Well, the internet is a mixed blessing, but I’m glad for it. It’s so easy to be critical of the UK (many expats are) but seeing your pictures always reminds me of what is good about my real home.
I won’t be here for ever so I’m happy to settle while I am here.
I got home sick living when we lived in Scotland
