In the stillness of a sultry summer afternoon, yet more photos of damselflies, they are hypnotic.
Not as many as earlier in the week, you might remember this dinghy, it featured last autumn (without the damselflies) it still drifts around the pond
If I could have got this pair of damselflies to face the other way (and got them in focus) they might have passed as a tableau of Kate Winslet and Tony De Thingymebob on the bow of the Titanic

Lovely Uphill’, that first one in particular is quite magical….and though not a Titanic fan myself I think even I would have admired it if you’d got that last pair to turn round and do a Kate & thingy. They’re not very good at taking stage directions though these Damselflies, are they?
As the saying goes, one should never work with children, animals or insects, even pretty ones!
I am impressed that you got such good photos of Damselflies! (I am wondering if they’re the same blue flitting winged creatures we see here in Upper Michigan at this time of year.) If they are, I haven’t been able to get close enough to take a photo yet. Did you sit down and wait patiently for a long time to get that close to them?
Hypnotic indeed. Aren’t you afraid of falling through the looking-glass pond? Careful Mrs. Uhdd.
Fantastic and magical photos, and has been said in previous comments, that first one is particularly superb!
Very beautiful…the first one is a great composition and really nice reflections.
Beautiful photographs. I haven’t had much chance lately and am missing my rambles. Oh, and it’s Leonardo de Thingymebob!
