Like the rest of the country we are eating up the contents of the fridge, I relish the left overs more than the original Christmas dinner, as it provides a series of ‘easy teas’ with minimum input from me, and that sounds very tasty; but somehow there never seems enough of the right food to hit the spot for teenagers. Despite tins of chocolates, boxes of biscuits littering the house and the remains of a large dead bird in the fridge, ‘I’m hungry; what’s to eat’ is still the cry reverberating through the house.
The image above is a ‘left over’ photo from our holiday in Wales. It’s of the strapping ‘all day breakfast’ at the world famous ‘Pete’s Eats’ in Llanberis. I had a slightly more modest toasted cheese and tuna sandwich and very tasty it was too.
I read the section entitled ‘Pete’s Bistro’ on the Pete’s Eats website, as a one time self-employed person, it chilled my spine. Brrrrrr

I hope you and your family had a lovely Christmas and know that this adult likes eating the leftovers for days.

I have always enjoyed a meal composed of leftovers. And why not? It’s the British equivalent of the Indian thali, another of my favourite meals.
The “All-Day Breakfast” has become a well established tradition and you can usually find a cafe serving it in any big town. The curious thing is that, more often than not, the best “full English breakfast” is usually to be found in cafes run by Turks, Italians, Poles or Greeks.
(As mysteriously as I lost it, I have recovered my access to WordPress and will be able to follow your blog again.)

Typical teenagers! I’m sitting here eating cereal for breakfast wishing that I could swap it for an all day one. xx

Comfort foods come in all shapes and sizes, don’t they! Now I think I have to go rummage around to see what leftovers I can snack on. Miss Sadie and the Cowboy are looking very alert.

I had xmas dinner at my house — we laughed a lot, shared a bottle of wine and memories, and snarfed down on a deliciously cooked breast of turkey (though I say it myself!). I had the forethought to lay in a collection of reusable containers so I could divide up the leftovers equitably. Oh, and I got the mash potatoes right this year.
