Out of my reach, at the end of a long lens.  Spud the dog takes a roll in something noxious. Dog bliss.

    Spud! You are supposed to be wearing your ‘Sunday Best’ cologne not some ‘Eau de Phew’! At least we can’t smell you up close ;)

    This is one area where cats have it all over dogs. Miss Puss is quite finicky about rolling. She goes to town in the lavender patch, while the Cowboy seeks out yet another dead fish on the shore. Preferably one next to a burdock or a giant thistle.

    Miss Sadie enjoys a good roll, too, but her coat is so short she usually manages to stay tidy.

    Was it fox poop? As kids, we voted that the stinkiest substance on earth, mainly due to one of Spud’s distant cousins and her habit of rolling in said poop!
