Out of my reach, at the end of a long lens. Spud the dog takes a roll in something noxious. Dog bliss.
Uphilldowndale
Watching nature take its course, from the top of a hill in a rural area of northern England...... Here I write about this, that and the other; posts are about whatever catches my eye, or captures my imagination: my take on the world usually comes from a rural perspective, but I make no promises....... I have a bit of a ‘magpie’ mind, it is eclectic and has a preference for collecting bright shiny things, so all bright shiny contributions are welcome as comments or emails........ We are a family of four; my self, Mr Uphilldowndale (Mr Uhdd), and our two boys, Tom aged 16 and Joe 14. In addition there's Dandy the cat and 5 maverick chickens and last but not least a young dog named Spud who has his own post every week 'Spud on Sunday'. I love the landscape here and the wildlife, I have a special interest in lumps of rock, as you will see if you stay around for a while....... Welcome to this blog, I hope you find something of interest, and if you do, please call again; next time you are passing. Heather Uphilldowndale-

Nice…not! xx
Oh no! I hate when they do that!
Did he look guilty when he came running back, or pleased with himself?
Spud! You are supposed to be wearing your ‘Sunday Best’ cologne not some ‘Eau de Phew’! At least we can’t smell you up close
This is one area where cats have it all over dogs. Miss Puss is quite finicky about rolling. She goes to town in the lavender patch, while the Cowboy seeks out yet another dead fish on the shore. Preferably one next to a burdock or a giant thistle.
Miss Sadie enjoys a good roll, too, but her coat is so short she usually manages to stay tidy.
Dandy the cat keeps lying in his litter tray!!
Was it fox poop? As kids, we voted that the stinkiest substance on earth, mainly due to one of Spud’s distant cousins and her habit of rolling in said poop!
It is the same patch to which he keeps returning! I thought of pouring Jeyes fluid over it, but that smell would probably linger longer that the poo!
Bet the other dogs find Spud ever more appealing after his roll in the stink!
Read this and weep (literally)
