Spud has been playing in the snow and mud today.
He’s been rather excited this week to hear the news that he is to have a new dog-in-law by the name of Benjy. (Whether or not Spud is willing to share his ball with Benjy though, remains to be seen).
It goes without saying of course that the rest of the household are both excited and delighted to hear that my brother in law BiL has announced his engagement to the lovely ‘mum’ of Benjy. *Sigh*

I think that sharing his ball is a no-no! Lovely pictures as always. xx
UHDD, thanks for your kind words.
I think Benjy would happily play with Spud’s ball; not sure about sharing it though
I expect Spud has balls to spare, but the watering can, now, that will be a different matter entirely.
Gerry, I’ve had to move on to a galvanised watering can, not so easy for him to get his teeth in to.

Congratulations to BiL. I think I met him once. So he’s putting down roots at last, and getting a dog to dig them up again. We await with interest photos of the new member of the family. I hope little Benjy realises what’s he’s getting into here!
One adjective which doesn’t suit Benjy is little! He is a lurcher/labrador cross. Size wise, more like a dartmoor pony.
I will negotiate with UHDD for a guest photo of Benjy on her blog.
Spud is looking very noble this week.
I don’t think Spud is going to share. By the sound of the description above, he and Benjy will have a fair old race to get to the ball first.
Many congratulations to the newly engaged couple. May their lives never lack the one thing no relationship can survive without – cupboard space!
Fee they have survived the first test, combining tow fully fledged homes into one, presumably that scored highly on the cupboard space negotiation test.
Then there is that other doggy game, “Chasing About And Barking” — which doesn’t involve sharing. . . .
That will be good enough for me, so long as it is no growling and snapping…
I looked at Spud and an old movie title popped into my mind — “Angels With Dirty Faces.” (He looks nothing like James Cagney, of course — more Rita Hayworth-ish. I hope that remark won’t offend him).
Spud takes everything as a compliment, it’s not helped his obedience training though.
Spud and the snow go good together! Let the fun begin ~ Little does Benjy know that he is about to be a star — or a co-star at least
Hi Benjy! I’m sure you will bring along some toys to share or trade when you visit.
