Visited Chatsworth before knees went really wonky about 10 years ago - would dearly love to visit again - do not like the look of the baby but love the figures in the garden.

I always drive past Chatsworth, admiring the view on the way, but it looks like it's time to stop off while the exhibition is still on. I quite like the look of the baby, but even if I had a garden big enough I'm sure I couldn't afford to buy it.

Uphill that pic takes me back to a place in my childhood. A farm that has a big pile of string outside the gate for people to just take for free. Its still there now.
Used to go and collect it to tie the beans up on the sticks.
Thanks for the memory.
Oh and bale twine as I know it is good for dog leads

I'd have been tempted to turn up the fan a bit!
I have a similar tale involving a gentleman and his wig, alas, I just can't post it here.

LOL, I know where you are coming from on that one!
My father when confronted by a bar full of Welsh men, who suddenly switched to their native tongue the moment an English man walked through the door(I'm pretty sure they weren't the sort of pubs women went to)he would always speak to them in Swahili, I'm not sure it got him a beer any quicker but he made his point!

Well spotted.
You say the photo was taken in Wales, that accounts for the sign. If you had looked at the other side of the sign you would have seen the correct instructions written in Welsh :)

Kudos for the Dr Seuss widget, (up-up-up with a fish!)
Your photos are amazing, the colours are so vivid. I really like "Flight" and...actually I realised I'd be here forever, they are all great - the clouds set is particularly atmospheric. Just like those arty greetings cards, that I keep buying and refusing to send to people because I like them too much!
