Watching nature take its course, from the top of a hill in northern England

sub titled, That Monday Morning Feeling, One Week Later

Tranquility; it’s out there, somewhere, honest; just a case of being in the right place at the right time, I think.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  5. I wonder if I could believe in the possibility of tranquility without calm waters? This is beautiful.

  6. Mmmnnn. We could all do with some of that right now, another 15 hour day just completed, we must be mad..
Lovely pic, calming just to look at it.

  7. What was it like in the afternoon? The lake used for sailing near here looked like your picture on Sunday morning – eerie with the island just visible in the mist – racing was cancelled. By 2 pm glorious sun, a brisk breeze and we were enjoying the warmth on our backs.

  8. Wow uphill that is tranquility for sure. Its lifted me from my gloom. Dark nights that picture most def is not. Thankyou
I could be there with a fishing rod
