Watching nature take its course, from the top of a hill in northern England

Like Minded Thinking

I was driving down the lane with Joe, when I spotted this sheep

Chocolate sheep

I was just thinking to myself  that this sheep’s wool looks just like a chocolate cake; when Joe piped up, ‘That sheep looks just like a chocolate muffin’ (and in this shot it even has an icing sugar frosting on its back.)

Proof if proof were needed of ‘what’s in’t tree, comes out in’t branches’ and that my son has inherited my taste in cake.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. I am not a big fan of chocolate but roast lamb/sheep of whatever colour is a dream.

  2. Bit worried that your chocolate cake has legs..Is it stale?

  3. He does look a bit cake like. Isn’t it funny how in tune we can get with those around us? Its great to have that kind of connection.

  4. May I recommend my rump? Come back Douglas Adams.

Come on, join in.
