Watching nature take its course, from the top of a hill in northern England

In the Slow Lane

I’ve an Internet connection that is running at 19K and keeps dropping out.

So until we gather a bit more speed, I don’t think I can manage to upload any photos which is a bit of a blow, I’ve got a bit back log. *sigh*

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. I went through something similar about a week ago. It was horribly slow or near dead for over two days. Our cable company somehow reset the modem (in some way other than I can do on my own) and that helped.

Hopefully your connection will sort itself out (or be sorted out by someone) soon.

  2. We’ll be here waiting.

  3. I’ve just bee offline for a week because apparently our modem became ‘obsolete’. A bit odd, however now we have a new and improved one which so far seems to be much faster.

Your previous photo of the rock and lichen is amazing. Looks like there is a message or two to read, if we could decipher nature’s code!

Hope your internet connection rights itself soon, and that you are able to upload your photos! They’re always a treat 🙂

  4. Looking forward to seeing your photos when you’re up to speed again.

Come on, join in.
