Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. All of it just more evidence that I must get some help training Miss Sadie and the Cowboy. If I put some work into it I believe they could be very well behaved indeed. And that would make all of us very, very happy.

  2. I love dogs, so your dog posts are a welcome view at the end of a long day. Thank you.

  3. What beautiful dogs–labs, I assume. Delightful photos!

  4. It’s always good to see dogs in action like this! xx

  5. Love the pictures – I’m definitely a dog person. :o)

(I had dancing lessons as a small child and I distinctly remember one exam comment sheet including the line ‘must try and keep her tongue inside her mouth when concentrating.’ lol)

  6. My God that black one is a beauty. Sort of like a large version of one I know!

Come on, join in.
