Just a Hill

South Head-2

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. And what a beautiful hill it is!

  2. Tiny toy village . . . You don’t have woods where my eye expects them. The hill rises up and up and off into the distance like a great ocean swell.

  3. A beautiful picture of a delightful environment ! Love this patchwork of fields above the picturesque village.

  4. Its a lovely hill. Ran up it loads of times but this picture is as clear as I’ve ever seen it.

  5. Thank you for your comment about being in Oahu (regarding my calendar)! Your blog is beautiful! I’ve never been to England and it looks like a gorgeous place, especially in the area where you live. I’ve enjoyed reading your stories. Your photography is wonderful ~ Happy regards to Mr. and Mrs. Uphilldowndale!
