The Last Chance

Today was your last chance to hear Sir Terry Wogan on the BBC radio 2 breakfast show; it was also the last chance to send post second class for guaranteed Christmas delivery.  This deadline spurred Mr Uhdd and I in to sitting down and actually writing some cards last night, we were aided by a glass or two of red wine, in a rather mellow frame of mind instead of writing ‘Happy Christmas’ I wrote ‘Happy birthday’ never mind said Mr Uhdd you can send it to Jesus.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Don’t worry about it, I’m always doing things like writing happy birthday instead of merry christmas.. I’ve even given someone a ‘Happy Anniversary’ card by accident, when it was their birthday!!!!

Sometimes I think I should just give up. 😉

  2. Some of us just think about writing Christmas cards but never get round to it 😦

I should have stuck a card in the box with your presents!

  3. And your sister spent her train journey up to Manchester writing cards, but she didn’t do ours! Which was a missed opportunity as she was meeting Mr Uhdd, Tom and Joe in town.

Come on, join in.
