The Morning After

The morning after the night before; go on, who over indulged last night?

The morning after 1-2

Not feeling quite as blooming as you might?

December rose-2

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Not me, I was in bed and fast asleep well before midnight! xx

  2. Just had 4 x bottles of beer but I ran 8 miles before we went out with the dog.
The days of me indulging have long gone. I cant do the morning after.
    Happy New Year

  3. I feel fine, but what are those roses doing in bloom? Don’t they know what the date is?

(Actually, our roses have also gone a bit mad and exploded into bloom in late November. I can’t say that I know what this means though.)

Happy New Year to everyone in the UHDD household!

  4. Beautiful frosted flowers and no overindulgence here. May 2010 be a creative year for you.

  5. Wait, wait – other people went to parties??? Oh dear. It’s as I’ve suspected all along. I simply don’t get out enough. A very quiet–wouldn’t want to set any heads banging–Happy New Year to all . . .

  6. lol! This is one of those years when I happen to be well rested, having gone to bed before the new year even got here.

Happy New Year to you and yours, UHDD!

  7. Happy New Year to Ms UHDD – I hope things are good for you. No hangovers either in the Stanley household, I went to bed at 9.15pm to watch the 20 greatest Big Brother moments and missed the last few – god, I must get a life somehow. xxxxx

  8. Happy New Year from still snowy Scotland. Nope, no sore head here (I haven’t over-indulged for so long now, I don’t think I could cope with the morning after!)

Come on, join in.
