Stormy Weather

We’ve had thunder storms this afternoon.

Thunder storm, clearing 1-2

I’m glad Spud the dog is not spooked by thunder.

Thunder storm, clearing-2

I’m a very weary bunny; to weary to post any more than this; I’m off to bed.

(Got to be up bright and early, the plasterer is coming to stick our home back together again.)

Night, night.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Well, those aren’t very friendly looking at all, are they?

  2. Oh dear, that can’t be good. Except that someone’s coming, I suppose that part’s good. Hope you’re having a good sleep.

  3. Wow! Those are some ferocious looking thunderheads.

I hope you got a good night’s sleep.

  4. Lovely photos! And I thought I had thought up “magpie mind” all by myself. Lovely what the subconscious will do to trick you, isn’t it?

  5. Rambunctious weather is tolerable as long as it doesn’t hurt anybody or tear up your stuff — although it is annoying when you have to get out in it or you’re trying to sleep through it. It’s been cool and overcast weather here, –even had some light patches of fog this morning as I was driving to an 8 a.m. appointment. Good show, Spud, for braving out the thunderboomer.

My kitties generally go under the bed when we have thunderstorms — not because the noise frightens them, but because it keeps them awake! — the mattresses muffle the sound apparently.

  6. Lovely pics of building cumulonimbus clouds. I’m a bit of a weather buff myself, I feel like I’m the only one who like autumn and winter as the weather is so interesting!

Come on, join in.
