A narrow boat holiday on the Leeds Liverpool canal
With many a lock and swing bridge to keep the boys busy
Tom, running to open the bridge.
And many a photo opportunity for me! I certainly think Spud is going to have a good time

Beautiful. Doe Spud ever not have a good time?
What amazing photos, and sounds like a super holiday for a family, with something for everyone, including Spud of course. I found the history and detailed link to ‘narrow boats’ very informative, especially the details on what does and does not constitute a narrow boat! Treasured memories are made from excursions such as these.
Wow! Floating lazily down the canal through such gorgeous scenery while your “crew” does all the work — my idea of a holiday. What fun. Wish I was there — LOL!
You are going to have the best vacation! And the photos are exceptional, even by your standards. The composition in that last one is deeply satisfying. OK, now I’m pretty sure I heard a splash. Better go pull Spud out of the canal.
Err; that was yesterday afternoon! He looked deeply shocked, it is one thing deciding to jump in the water, it is another to fall in! We’ve brought a lot of towels.
Have yourselves a great time! I like the photos. I see that it didn’t take Spud long to go swimming! xx
Thanks Flighty; I like your poppy avatar.
It all looks so beautiful. The sunlight is wonderful.
