For any one trying to deliver anything in the UK at the moment, stay safe.

And what address would you like that delivering too--1

One family in  Newton Poppleford, Devon received an unexpected supermarket delivery

If it was a new house we could have been all flat packed and washed out to sea”

(we’re loving the young man  in this interview, he’s a media natural!)

We also like the cream teas in Newton Poppleford

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Oh yes, he’s brilliant!

  2. I love the fact he put his hi-vis on over his dressing gown – classic! Anyone want to bet they offered the lorry driver a cup of tea as well?

  3. He’s a star, isn’t he? And a real sweetie to make sure the driver was OK – I bet his mum’s proud of him!

  4. He was charming — made me smile!

  5. Definitely aren’t enough like him to go around. Thanks for making my day.

  6. Good gracious! Glad to hear the driver was OK, and the young man interviewed certainly had his head screwed on right ~ dealing with the situation very sensibly and giving a good account. Indeed, a natural – and handsome, as well 😉

  7. Wonderful! Such positive thinking. He’s absolutely right to look on the bright side, of course, and it could definitely have been worse.

Come on, join in.
