That doesn’t mean it is an X rated Spud. It’s just a wall walking Spud

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. He looks like a real Teenager in that photo!

  2. Wait, wait – that is cattish behavior!
The Cowboy’s ears are pinned back in wonder and amazement.

  3. How did he get up there?

    • Usually he jumps over walls, but on occasion he stops on top! This is a fit and healthy stretch of drystone wall, it was only built about 11 years ago, but when it is a rickety bit of wall, I fear he will bring the whole lot down with him.

  4. Spud is one very handsome dog and so grown up.. it only seems like yesterday you introduced him xx

  5. He’s got that ‘I’m the king of the castle’ look’! xx

  6. Not “X” as in “X” rated, no. “X” as in “X-celent,” “X-ceptional” and “X-traordinary.” – You must use fast shutter speeds to capture that tail so crisply. I would imagine it is always in motion. If he could speak, he’d be saying, “Look, mummy! See what I can do!”

  7. Master of all he surveys. Wonderful shot.

  8. Nice composition 🙂 he is really posing haha!

  9. Lovely photo, lovely dog – thank you for sharing!

  10. That Spud breaks me up! Look at the expression on his face! LOL
