Spud on a Sunday Part XXIV

Spud has had such a busy week, a house full of family who have been more than happy to throw balls, go for walks, throw more balls. He has used up so much energy we’ve had to up his food ration. The weather has been glorious Spud has spent a lot of time cooling off in the pond

And just when he thought it couldn’t get any better in terms of playmates, two beautiful dogs of the Joker variety showed up for a couple of nights stay. Dog heaven

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Hope to hear about the visit from Joker. Haven’t heard from him in quite a while. Busy young lad, Spud. He must have luxuriated in all the attention.

  2. As a cyclist, I am not a natural dog lover but what a fantastic picture.

  3. I can just about hear Spud’s sigh of relief as he reflects in that cool pond!

  4. I come here often but mostly I don’t comment… Spud is a total beauty. Sundays with Spud are my favourite posts but I’m gulping about the previous one too: children and their breaks/sicknesses etc I don’t know how we parents cope!

  5. Wonderful picture! All that, including more food, almost makes me yearn for a dog’s life! xx

  6. Such a boy! Spud has found his calling in life. It’s good to have satisfying work to do.

  7. He always looks so regal.

Come on, join in.
