Watching nature take its course, from the top of a hill in northern England

What no Spud on Sunday?

Sunday and the rest of the weekend have slipped by,  flushed away with rain and study, both Tom and I have had our heads down all weekend. Spud has taken it as it comes, mainly on the sofa.

I would like to point you to Gerry’s post,  over at Torch Lake Views, entitled ‘I Could not Make These Things Up’ it is guaranteed to entertain.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. We’re just flattered beyond measure over here. Miss Sadie is giving the Cowboy a good washing and he promises to be on his best behavior. For all the good that will do, eh?

  2. Good luck with the studying! Eldest girl here is also hard at work in preparation for the dreaded Highers .. crossed fingers all around for good results.

  3. I hope Spud doesn’t find out that he was ‘skunked’ out of his weekly post 😉
    Very interesting link!

  4. Spud wasn’t the only one to have a lazy Sunday mostly spent sofa flying! xx

  5. Rain? What’s that?

….I think we had it once in London (and could really do with some again!)

Come on, join in.
