Spud on Sunday Part XXVIII

Spud the dog looking for his ball, windy day-1

Spud the dog looking for his ball in the garden, if he jumps the wrong way  and drops down the far side of the wall, it could be the rhubarb situation all over again.

Spud makes the right choice

The flowers are safe to bloom another day

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Be a ★

  2. Spud has great balance! What a gorgeous pup : )

  3. I went for a walk last week with a friend who also owns a springer. A springer who is equally bouncy. She is almost at her wits’ end. Even during the short walk we took, he injured her by running past her at high speed. We had bent over to inspect a wild flower that I couldn’t identify, then bam!!! The flower was pulverised, and so was my friend’s bottom lip. I’m glad the springer in my dog turned out to be a terrier.

    • We’ve noticed springers don’t seem to have much in the way of spacial awareness! Spud is always crashing into things, people doors tables, but there is nothing wrong with his eyesight, just watch him with a ball. A springer /Patterdale terrier, would be an interesting mix.

  4. Lord of all he surveys! He is, truly, a beautiful dog. Nice wall, too.

  5. Like that first pic. Very “the noble dog” look. Spud being heroic.

  6. King of all he surveys!
