Watching nature take its course, from the top of a hill in northern England

Under the Influence

Mrs Ogg is here at the seaside (along with Mr Ogg and the young Ogglet) we enjoyed a drink or two the other evening, as the sun went down.

We took some photographs

Some were sensible

Joe, dusk-1

and some shots were probably rather predictable ( I mean, can you have too many sunsets?)

But is did go a little downhill from there

Workers playtime, that’s what it is!

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Never too many sunsets, never too many evenings with good friends, never too much worker’s playtime! I want to make light squiggles with sparklers.

  2. Did the drinks have anything to do with the skewed sunset? lol! It looks like a wonderful evening. 🙂

  3. LOL – lovely series and interesting finish – I hope those (strong?!) drinks tasted good 😉

Come on, join in.
