Spud on Sunday Part XXXIV

Spud the dog  is back in town, frolicking in the field and having a high old time collecting and chewing (on the lounge carpet, given chance) wind-fall apples.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Welcome back, Spud. Be careful those apples don’t upset your tummy – or worse, the hand that feeds you!

  2. As always a delight to see your delightful Springer.

A marvellous antidote to all the “kitty gifs” on Google+:

    • Kitties are not popular at the moment. In fact Dandy the cat (who is getting rather geriatric) is in the dog house this evening… having made a puddle on the floor whilst I was changing his litter tray!!!! Grrrrrrr

  3. Nature taking its course clearly agrees with Spud–could he be any happier?!

  4. He has such a wonderful endearing look! xx

  5. Spud is certainly one handsome, happy dog! The apple of your eye? 🙂

  6. He’s still looking awfully well groomed. I’ll take your word for it it’s Spud. Miss Puss says to tell Dandy she understands perfectly–which is a bit worrying when I think of it.

  7. Oh yes, it’s the same here. Mouldy apples on every carpet, floor and even inside the door jamb when I opened up this morning. What she does best is chase these tiny windfalls under the sofa or armchair then bark at them to come out. Always during dinner. At least I don’t have to go out collecting apples when I want to make a crumble though!

  8. Happy to see the joy and happiness in Spud’s lovely smiling face 🙂

Come on, join in.
