Spud on Sunday Part XXXVIII

Spud flap-1

Spud the dog leads the way with the 1001st post.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Eeeeem, Spud, not sure how to tell you this, buddy … but that’s a cat flap. And you’re a dog. Nice try, though – careful you don’t hurt your lugs on the way back.

  2. Spud seems like the sort to never look back. Forward on to the next 1000!

  3. It looks like he’s being left behind rather than leading the way! xx

  4. Why do I have the feeling that Dandy is sitting just out of camera range, calmly grooming an immaculate paw? And, um, chortling.

  5. Gorgeous, in every detail.

  6. This is my favorite photo of Spud. I just love the look on his face!

Come on, join in.
