I think the weather has broken now, it’s just started to rain (4pm) it’s still 19c though.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Spud’s Sunday splash! xx

  2. There’s no smell like a wet dog drying. Enjoy!

  3. Way to go, Spud.

  4. Cool, clean and ready for more! Gotta love him.

  5. Do we take the dog to the woods for the shade or the river for a swim – choices are tough here in Ruralshire – Spud looks great as usual!

  6. Hello again, always lovely to see Spud (and I type with a Spud-look-a-like upon my lap for my mother in law has recently acquired a Cocker pup with very similar colouring and an equal love of anything wet or muddy!).

Come on, join in.
