Watching nature take its course, from the top of a hill in northern England

Moving Along

Things have moved along since I started posting images of the Beyond Limits sculpture exhibition at Chatsworth House, we had something of an unseasonal  heat wave, but now as I write this post thunder lightening are ripping across the valley and hail stones are bounding down the chimney and the temperature is a frugal 6.6c.

But here is sunshine, tranquillity and beauty.

I’d better post quickly before, the power goes or the router gets zapped.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. The sun’s out here and the rain has passed. I hope your power stays on.

  2. Aye – just looking at some very grey skies above – forecast not good – how typically northern eh?

  3. There sure has been some roller coaster weather lately! xx

  4. This is a very nice photo! And fortunately sunshine, tranquillity and beauty can also occasionally be in autumn….

Come on, join in.
