Spud on Sunday LXXIII

Lost, a green ball in a green field. Spud the dog considers his options.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Oh this is too funny! What a great caption! I’ll be chuckling about that for days!

  2. Great photo. I can smell green grass for some reason….

  3. Surveying his domain . . .

  4. 🙂 If I were Spud I’d forget about the ball and just gaze at the beautiful landscape.

  5. That’s much like life as I see it.

  6. Brilliant, and if you know where the ball is then you could do a ‘Spot the Ball for Spud’ competition! xx

  7. Is there a green ball in the green grass – or did the sneaky human only pretend to throw it?

  8. He must not have been watching when the ball was thrown. Poor Spud. Does he do “seek?”

  9. This shot of Spud – and the wonderful expanse of green grass brought a big smile!

Come on, join in.
