Spud the younger

Spud the younger-1

I’m sorry it’s a bit of a cheat, but I’ve had to dip into in the archives, it’s gone 8pm and I’ve just downloaded the photos I thought I’d use for this Sundays post and they are rubbish, so here  is Spud in the midst of puppy months. Got to love those hazel eyes and crimped ears.

The weekend has sped away from me faster than a galloping horse, but the good news is I’m back in my ‘office’ following the DIY marathon of the last month. My new furniture is in place,  mind, it is still has flat-pack status, but it has made it as far as the right  corner of the right room, that’s progress. Now I must feed my family.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. The first thing I thought was Good grief they’ve given Spud a perm! He was a very cute puppy, wasn’t he. Congratulations on having stacked all the boxes in the right corners.

  2. Oh, my he was a cute baby! Love those fluffy ears.

  3. I thought that the idea of a family was that they could feed you when you were busy.

  4. No matter what age, Spud is always handsome!

  5. I see he knew how to put his right foot forward even as a pup ~ or was he doing the Hokey Pokey? 😉 Sweet photo … glad to hear your office is getting itself straightened out. Work doesn’t need added chaos, does it?

  6. He’s always had that certain look hasn’t he! xx
