Spud on a Sunday Part LXIV

Spud the dog is in his element. Here he is on his Sunday morning walk.

Happy dog -1

Not a little girl in a  pretty sundress in sight. The early morning mist burnt off for a stunning sunny day.

However Spud did blot his copy book, I was distracted briefly whilst making the sandwiches for lunch and when I returned all that was left was lettuce leaf on the kitchen floor, Tom’s order of ham salad with pesto mayo was no more. Naughty Spud. Just as well I had preselected my beach reading.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Ich hatte früher auch immer einen Hund. Die lieben das Wasser!

  2. My aunt’s Springer was a terrible thief, until they spiked an offering with a little curry powder. She never strayed from the straight and narrow again (after consuming massive quantities of water and looking offended for days!).

  3. lol! Spud has lucked out in your choice of reading materials. 🙂

  4. That first picture is terrific. I guess that Spud is excited about being on holiday and forgot his table manners! xx

  5. Reminds me of my neighbours moaning that their cat had pulled a loaf of sliced bread off their worktop and eaten some of it.
I was pretty confident it was one of my cats who had broken in!

  6. Ah well. I’m unreliable myself when left alone with treats. Pesto mayo, eh? Oh my. Anyway, Spud seems to be having a wonderful time and giving good value in the Joyful Springer category.

Come on, join in.
