Spud the dog is discovering he may have to share some of his toys with the upstart kittens, Jammy and Dodger
He doesn’t always play ball.
Thank you all for the splendid selection of names you suggested; Jammy and Dodger as suggested by Susie C fits them perfectly*. They’re probably better names than their off screen monikers, but then our cats have never ended up being called by the names they are registered at the vets with! Speaking of the vets I’m still wincing from the £120 bill it cost to get the pair of them vaccinated…
*The way they’ve been screeching around the barn, Starsky and Hutch came a very close second, they do spectacular hand-break turns.
Makes me wistful for the kitten years of Miss Puss. (I do not miss the puppy years of the Disreputable Duo.)
Were the Duo pups at the same time?
Well they were, most likely, but not at the same place. Miss Sadie was quite a young dog when she came to live with me, and still had some puppyness–including a lamentable tendency to chew inappropriate things. We acquired the Cowboy, who is approximately the same age as Miss Sadie, some years later. He reverted to puppyness briefly and Miss Sadie had to box his ears for him. Now we are all hopelessly immature together.
I *love* Jammy and Dodger! We are going to call our dog Stormageddon…if we ever get one 🙂
They look like they’re getting on well.
I can hear the kittens, in the utility room at the other end of the house ricocheting off the walls and door as I type!
What larks! They are lucky cats and I hope they give you years of in expensive entertainment.
If they turn out to be as inexpensive as Dandy and Darcey we’ll have no complaints
What great names for the kittens. Looks like fun all round! xx
They are very endearing
I love watching little kittens exploring a new environment – priceless. Every time I have to fork out for vaccinations (on the off chance that little-miss-stay-inside might just decide to go out) I wonder if I picked the wrong job. Then I remember the icky bits of the vets’ job and decide they can have the cash, I’ll have the nice office and comfy chair!
When we used to keep a few head of cattle we noticed how much better ‘value’ the fees for ‘big animals’ seemed to be. Like all things, market forces apply, it appears we will spend more on our pets than our farm animals
Whoo-hoo! 🙂 When I saw your first picture — the sweet little face on the left, the wild tongue-sticking-out face on the right — the names just popped in my head! Cool! 🙂
