Don’t Mention the Snow

Spud the dog, braves the blizzard.

Snow Saturday 2-1

There is no getting out of the lane this morning.

Snow Saturday 3-1

Spare a thought for those battling the elements

Author: uphilldowndale

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Goodness that really is wintry looking. Take care! xx

  2. and it’s suppose to be spring now….your dog is very cute!

  3. So far, we’ve got the ice cold winds but none of the white stuff. Snow is predicted, but we’ll hope it passes by without stopping.

  4. Too bad we all don’t enjoy the snow as much as your Spud. Love to see the bird photos on the righ-hand side of your page to counter balance to snow in your post! Hope for summer eventually!

  5. Loved those popcorn legs!

  6. Having been to Heathrow, queued after our flight was cancelled, given up and returned home, I do spare a thought. The sooner the snow disappears, the happier I shall be.

  7. I know what you mean 🙂 Good luck; hope the freezer is well stocked!

  8. Bundle up, catch up on your reading/writing/photo organizing,/whatever, and hang in there. Snuggling with kittencats is also recommended.

  9. I can relate. Oh, I can really relate.

  10. WOW! What a difference from that beautiful photo of the same scene in summer! Hope spring gets around to you quickly!
