Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  2. Love these pictures! Especially the cat at the races and the tree that looks like a brain.

  3. Superb photos. The cat is brilliant and Spud as always lovely to see. (I have a male Springer too) The trees are magical . Thanks

  4. Beautiful photos. Love your outlook, and so pleased that I stumbled across your blog.

  5. You got more snow than we did. I am glad that you were able to give us such lovely images as a result.

  6. Spud cracks me up! You captured the cat in a terrific pose on the gate…I’m sure he’s saying something about the winter wonderland he finds himself in! Love the colouring on his undersides…looks like he’s wearing a snow suit, and striped boots. Your other photos are just amazing, as well. Branches do hold the snow just so! You take terrific photos ~

  7. Spud retains his puppy-like look, aided, I guess, by his recent visit to the barber!

  8. Wonderful wintry pictures, I especially like the header. xx

  9. What a marvellous picture of the cat!

Come on, join in.
