We’ve had three days of bright blue skies, what a treat. It’s been cold though. I took a turn around the field this morning, Spud the dog and Jammy the cat came too. Jammy took his preferred route

along the tops of the walls, however he was soon complaining of cold snowy paws and wanted ‘a carry’; he can be quite demanding.

Last week we took Jammy and Dodger to the vets, to be micro chipped, for their new cat flap. Oh my what a din they made!

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England.
Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it!
I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing.
On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell!
Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

Jammy is flat out adorable. I could not see the din, but I will get to the library sooner or later.

That first photo is wonderful — and it’s reminded me that, no matter how much she complains about the cold here in the house (let it fall below 70, and oh, my!) my Miss Dixie is not suffering one bit.

You have caught the look of consternation as the shock of the chilly-paw walk becomes apparent! Gosh, what a racket they made on their way to the vet. I laughed (sorry Spud) when I heard the noise drove Spud demented. 😉
