Here is Spud the dog, reflecting on 2016. There’s been a lot to think about.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. Oh, my. Your header image is as lovely as the one of Spud, reflecting. It’s wonderful to see you pop up. I wish you all the best for the coming year. It would be lovely to see you a little more often — I always enjoy your posts. happy New Year to you all!

  2. Speaking of blog land, it’s harder to “like” but your photo is so stunning I had to pop over to say “great photo!” and Happy New Year.

My blogging rate is down, but I do post at least once if not 2-3 times, per month 🙂
