We’ve all been down to Devon this week, to attend the funeral of Mr Uphilldowndale’s aunt N; a lady of great kindness and grace, regular readers may remember her lovely 90th birthday party last year.
Aunt N was the consummate hostess, she would very much have approved of the glorious flowers in the village hall, arranged by her friends; the delicious tea (especially the cakes)
and of her beloved church being so abundantly decorated
for the harvest festival,
The peel of church bells to celebrate her life that rang out true and clear across the estuary, was perfect, just perfect…
