The sun shone today, what a welcome sight, what a tonic. It’s a shame we can’t bottle its essence, make sunshine tablets or simply stuff it a box and save it for the rainy days.
There was sunshine beaming in on the jug of tulips on my desk this afternoon
In the garden the birds were basking in the stuff.
A nuthatch at the bird feeder, not the sharpest shot in the bag, but I like the beak and the bullet shaped sunflower seed.
Lovely. Thank you for that nice blast of color. Very gray scale here in Wisconsin.
Getting sharp pictures of fast-moving animals and birds (says one who has a whole collection of blurred squirrel pictures!) is as much a matter of luck as of skill. Let’s just say that the “soft focus” of your image suggests movement and vitality.
Lovely photos, and that’s another bird I’ve never seen! xx
“A weekend to grab your winter woollies!” words just spoken on the weather forecast as I sit here in the lounge! Yes it looked good here but boy is it cold! Brrrrrrrrrrr! North Yorkshire could see -7!!!!
Who knew that a nuthatch and a pot of tulips could produce euphoria? Really, I think modern medicine should take note.
I’m glad you got your sunshine at last.
What a day: Sunshine tulips – and a bird that is armed to the teeth 😉 (is that term also used in English about a fully armed person?!)
Yes, ‘armed to the teeth’ works for us!!
