Six Big Sleeps

Six big sleeps until Tom is home, from his first term at university. I’m very excited.

There will be feasting.

Watching the rhythm of rural life, from the top of a hill in northern England. Having spent most of my life avoiding writing, I now need to do it! I am no domestic goddess, but if I were expecting visitors to my home, I would whisk round with the duster and plump up the cushions and generally make the place look presentable. I hope that by putting my words where others may see them it will encourage me to ‘tidy up and push the Hoover around’ my writing. On the other hand I may just be adding to the compost heap. Only time will tell! Pull up a chair, sit yourself down, I’ll put the kettle on.

  1. I can feel your excitement ~ always lovely to have family home where they belong 😉 Amazing that the first term is nearly over! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas with much celebrating, merriment … and of course, feasting!

  2. I he is anything like I was a student (heaven forbid) he will need serious feasting…..for some days.

  3. A friend with student offspring expected home soon says the first place they will go is the kitchen, to see what’s in the fridge! So stock up – but not with any of the usual healthy stuff! I can imagine how you are feeling!

Come on, join in.
